Where leather linings are damaged, we can often restore and refinish the original leather to remove evidence of scratches, tears and burns. Alternatively, a new lining can be tooled using hand-dyed skivers and hides, decorated with gold leaf, using traditional tools and patterns.
Velvet, suede and silk inlays are often found as a luxurious lining to cabinets. Utilising specialist textile restoration and conservation skills we successfully clean the lining. If damage is too extensive, we re-line the piece with new material.
Felt cloth and baize linings, commonly used for snooker or pool tables, card tables and notice boards can be replaced in a variety of colours.
