Decorative Plaster

Decorative Plaster

Decorative and ornate plasterwork has been used for centuries to elevate spaces and add depth to a room. Whilst it is used in various formats, we see decorative plaster used in the following ways:

  • Cornice – a decorative design that adorns the transition from ceiling to wall.
  • Ceiling Rose – historically used to protect ceilings from candle staining, these are decorative centrepieces that surround light fittings.
  • Corbels– embellished bracket pieces for that final touch on beams & archways.
  • Column Base & Caps – the ornate features that frame columns that we see in more elaborate properties.
  • Vaulted Ceilings – ornate arched ceilings, most recognised from places of worship.
